This is the sculpture that first got me interested in New York City statuary, years ago when I mistook it for a lurker in the corner of the park at 03:00. It's Dvorak, who composed his Symphony No. 9 while living down the street. I don't know why he's bubble-wrapped, but I like it. Anyway, notice: no spring on the trees.
